Accessibility & Accommodations

Wheelchair Accessibility: Please note that the tour bus is not wheelchair accessible, and one site on the itinerary may have limited access for wheelchairs due to terrain.

Mobility Assistance: Guests are welcome to bring walkers, canes, or portable stools. Walking and standing are required at each stop, with some guided tours lasting up to 45 minutes. Comfortable footwear is strongly recommended.

Child Equipment: Strollers and car seats are not permitted on the bus due to limited space and safety guidelines. We appreciate your understanding.

Interpretation Services: Interpretation services are not provided. If you require an interpreter, please plan to purchase a separate ticket for their participation.

Audio Support: Our tour guides use portable speaker systems to ensure guests can hear commentary clearly while on the bus and at tour locations.

Terms & Conditions
- Weather
The bus tour will happen rain or shine. Only extreme weather such as lightning, extreme storm, and extreme winds may cause cancellations
- Reservations & Payments
- Advance Booking Required: A ticket is required to go on tour. Please purchase your tickets a minimum of 48 hours in advance
- Ticket Confirmation: Once tickets are purchased, you will receive a confirmation email. Didn’t receive your email? Please contact the museum at 360-394-7105
- Payment Method: When purchasing your tickets online, PayPal or credit card are acceptable payment methods. Tickets can also be purchased in-person at the Suquamish Museum where we accept, card and cash.
- Tickets are required for all participants age 6 and older
Cancellations & Refunds
- Tour Cancellations: Tours may be cancelled for unforeseen circumstances such as but not limited to bus mechanical issues, sick bus driver, sick tour guide, etc. We will do our best to cancel tours with 24 hours’ notice. But for day of emergencies, you will be emailed of the cancellation by 8:30am. Guests will receive a refund or option to reschedule.
- Guest Cancellations:
- Full Refund: Cancellations made at least 96 hours (4 days) before the scheduled tour will receive a full refund.
- Partial Refund or Credit: Cancellations made between 48–95 hours in advance may be eligible for a partial refund or credit toward a future tour, depending on the circumstances.
- No Refund: Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the tour, or no-shows on the day of the tour, are not eligible for a refund.
Minimum Age & Supervision
- Children ages 6 and up are welcome on the Suquamish Heritage Bus Tour.
- Due to safety and space limitations, strollers and car seats are not permitted, and all children must have their own seat.
- All minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. We ask that guardians ensure children are able to participate respectfully and remain seated during the tour.
Behavior Policy
- As part of the Suquamish Heritage Bus Tour, guests will visit culturally significant, sacred, and historical sites. We ask all participants to conduct themselves with respect and mindfulness throughout the tour.
- Please refrain from disruptive behavior, including loud conversations, inappropriate language.
- Cell phones are permitted, please put them on silent.
- Photography may be limited or restricted at certain locations out of respect for cultural protocols. Your guide will inform you when and where photos are appropriate.
- Do not touch or disturb any memorials, natural features, or ceremonial spaces unless explicitly invited to do so.
- We ask that guests listen attentively to guides and elders, and approach each site with cultural sensitivity.
- Failure to follow these expectations may result in removal from the tour without refund.
- No Smoking or Alochol
- For the comfort, safety, and cultural integrity of all participants, smoking, vaping, and alcohol consumption are strictly prohibited at all times during the tour—this includes on the bus, at all tour stops, and during lunch.
- Guests who fail to comply may be asked to leave the tour without a refund. We appreciate your cooperation in helping maintain a respectful and welcoming environment for everyone.
Liability Waiver
- By purchasing a ticket and/or participating in the Suquamish Heritage Bus Tour, you agree to the following terms:
- Assumption of RiskI understand and acknowledge that participation in the Suquamish Heritage Bus Tour involves certain risks, including but not limited to transportation, walking on uneven terrain, exposure to changing weather conditions, and consumption of food. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages that may occur as a result of my participation.
- Medical Conditions & Physical RequirementsI affirm that I am physically capable of participating in this tour, which may involve walking, standing for extended periods, and riding in a vehicle. I agree to disclose any relevant medical conditions or mobility limitations at the time of booking. I understand that the organizers may not be able to accommodate all health or accessibility needs and that I participate at my own risk.
- Personal PropertyI acknowledge that I am solely responsible for my personal belongings during the tour. The tour organizers are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
- Conduct ExpectationsI agree to follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by tour staff and to behave respectfully toward guides, fellow guests, and the cultural and historical sites we visit. I understand that failure to do so may result in my removal from the tour without refund.
- Photography & Media (Optional Clause)I grant permission for the tour organizers to use photographs or video taken during the tour for promotional purposes. (Guests may opt out by informing staff in advance.)
- Release of LiabilityTo the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless the Suquamish Tribe, Suquamish Museum, tour staff, and associated partners from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising from my participation in the tour.
- By attending the Suquamish Heritage Bus Tour, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this liability waiver.
